Overview

Mombasa is the oldest city and the second-largest city in Kenya after Nairobi, located in coastal regions along the Indian Ocean. Mombasa is a tourism-based city with an extra-large port and an international airport and is an important regional tourism center.

Visitors to Mombasa can visit Fort Jesus is a Portuguese fort that was built between the period spanning from 1593 to 1596 by order of King Philip I of Portugal, Haller Park, which is a nature park that comprises of Fish Farm area, small demonstration, giraffe viewing platform, Game Sanctuary, Palm Garden, Crocodile pens and a Reptile Park, an Old Town which is a prominent area located in the Mombasa region of Kenya.

Spread over an area of 72 hectares of the land, the Old Town is inhabited by a blend of local British, Asian, Arab, and Portuguese settlers and even Mombasa Marine National Park, a national reserve and a marine park situated in Mombasa in Kenya. Spread over an area of 2500 acres or 10 km square, the reserve of the park spans over 49.400 acres.
